A great time at the Bazant Pohoda festival (Slovakia's largest music festival), with some energetic concerts from Gogol Bordello, Chicks on Speed etc., then we went to visit Cactiche castle - Bloody Countess Elizabeth Bathory's (she of Cradle of Filth fame) favourite castle, because of the thick walls which muffled up the screaming sounds. After a horrendous and absolutely untouristic alternative climb up the hill to the castle, it wasn't quite as spooky as we had imagined, as there were people camping there and walking their dogs.
In the end we spent a couple of days in Bratislava which is such a compact and cute city. With a great rock bar, the Alligator (The Passenger, old Bon Jovi and GNR tunes.. yeeha).
